Come fly our RedBird AATD (Advance Aviation Training Device). You can fly it solo or with your flight instructor. You can practice stalls, steep turns, and emergencies you would never really attempt in a real airplane. You can also use it legally for instrument currency and to log time toward a certificate or rating*. As pilots, we should never stop learning that's why a cost flying in a cost-effective alternative to an airplane makes so much sense. High Performance Endorsements
High performance is defined as an aircraft with a power plant rated at more than 200 HP. We offer you this training in a 2006 Turbo 182 Skylane T182T, a true high performance and technically advance aircraft.
TakeWING Safety Meetings
TakeWING instructors are members of the FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam). Our aviation club holds quarterly safety meetings, but we also meet informally the last Saturday of every month to promote the discussion of questions a
nd answers on topical aviation subjects. We call these meetings ExPressO Mornings and encourage you to join us (nonmembers welcome).
Flight Reviews
The purpose of the flight review required by the FAA regulation (14 CFR) 61.56 is to provide for a regular evaluation of pilot skills and aeronautical knowledge. A flight review also offers pilots the opportunity to design a personal currency and proficiency program in consultation with an authorized flight instructor. This is the aeronautical equivalent of a regular medical checkup and an ongoing health improvement program.
The WINGS Pilot Proficiency Program
The WINGS proficiency program encourages pilots to continue their aviation educational pursuits and requires education, review, and flight proficiency in the Areas of Operation found in current Practical Test Standards (PTS), which correspond with the leading accident causal factors. We strongly support this approach and use it whenever we have the privilege of conducting a flight review with you.
